Hi, my name is Stéphan (paramedic0750). I was born in Lemoyne, near Montréal, in the province of Québec, in Canada. I’m 37 years old, and father of a beautiful 10 year old daughter.
I got my Ambulance Paramedic Technician diploma from Ahuntsic College in their 950 hour program. I’ve been a practicing paramedic for 5 years in the regions of: Mauricie, Monérégie and Lanaudière.
I created this blog as a way for me to share what it is to be a Paramedic in the province of Quebec, with the rest of the world. I will also help share other passionate healthcare professionals that want to advance the profession through social media, blogging, writing, and podcasting to our communities.
As a patient advocate, it is important for me to maintain a set of ethics for the purpose of blogging online, and any forms of social media I participate in. The purpose of these set of ethics is to;
- protect patient confidentiality
- ensure reliability of information
- maintain a clear representation of perspective
- be courteous and maintain a professional environment
Thank you for reading my blog, and sharing in my discovery of other healthcare providers sharing similar views. I hope that you’ve learned a little about what we do, and shared a little bit in our passion about why we love our job!

Well, nothing out of the ordinary as of late in my world. Same kind of calls as normal……’same ol same ol’.
Only weird thing was I kept getting called for the same Alzheimers patient who kept ripping out his catheter and causing a bleed. Bring him in and get it reinserted, take him back to the Nursing Home. Only to have him rip it out again……and again……and again……
Hes got to be getting really sore by now…..but he says “No”.
Isn’t Alzheimers wonderful!
